Dogrobes Winter Dog Drying Guide and Tips
Dec 17, 2025
Stay warm, dry and ready for winter fun with Dogrobes

Winter is here, and with it comes the rain, the mud, the wild winds and, if we’re lucky, the magic of snow. It’s the season of cosy nights in, crisp morning walks and dogs who return home just a little too soggy for your sofa.
Dogrobes make winter easier because they’re the easy way to dry dogs fast. Whether you’re facing rainy walks, swims or hydrotherapy, bath times or melting snowballs, our drying kit keeps your dog warm and comfortable.
Here’s your Dogrobes guide to winter essentials and what to avoid.
Why Dogrobes are essential at this time of year

Wet and muddy winter walks
Nothing dries a dog faster than our super-absorbent, dual-loop cotton towelling. It draws moisture away quickly, so your dog dries and warms up faster and your home and car stay cleaner.
Pop the Dogrobe on before your dog jumps into the car or walks indoors and let it work its magic while your dog chills out.
Hydrotherapy and cold-water swims
Many dogs rely on hydrotherapy year-round and others you just can’t keep out of any water! (we hear you Spaniel, Retriever and Labrador owners!) Winter only heightens the need for quick, gentle drying afterwards.
Pair a Dogrobe with a matching Snood and Gauntlets and you’ve got the full drying system to help your dog warm up again without stress.
More bath times in winter
More rain = more mud = more baths. Dogrobes make bath time easier and much quicker. Wrap your dog, tie securely and let the robe do the hard work while they snooze.
Snowballs clinging to fur
Fluffy coats often collect icy snowballs. A Dogrobe melts them gently and collects the water before it reaches your floor.
Snoods dry and warm the head and ears, and Gauntlets dry the paws.
Complete The Kit - your winter drying trio

To make life even easier, the Complete The Kit bundle offers three essentials designed to work together. Save £5 on top of any discount code you may have. (Not applicable during any sale).
Dogrobes - Original, Exclusive and MAX
All three dog drying robe styles use the same trusted, super-absorbent fabric.
- Original - our signature design, lightweight and fast-drying, available with or without Harness Access.
- Exclusive - our range of unique patterns, also available with Harness Access.
- MAX - more coverage with a chest plate, higher collar and shoulder darts, perfect for dogs who need that extra protection in winter.
All Dogrobes are tied securely (never Velcro), available in sizes MINI to XXXL, and made in Britain to last.
Snoods
Designed to dry the head, neck and ears, Snoods are especially helpful in cold weather and after swims. They're also perfect for muffling sudden festive noises like fireworks or crackers.
Gauntlets
These dog drying mitts are the answer to muddy paws, snowy feathers and waterlogged legs. One size fits all.
Winter wellbeing - seasonal advice from The Vet

The Christmas season is filled with temptations that aren’t safe for our dogs. Here are the key things to watch out for:
- Chocolate: Dark chocolate is especially dangerous. Keep all sweet treats out of reach.
- Raisins and grapes: Found in cakes, puddings, mince pies and stollen - all highly toxic.
- Onions, garlic and shallots: Present in gravies, stuffings and some leftovers.
- Christmas trees: Needles can irritate the stomach; baubles and tinsel are tempting to chew.
- Fairy lights: Always use a circuit breaker to avoid electric shocks.
- Grit and salt: Can irritate paws - rinse after walks and dry thoroughly with Gauntlets.
A little awareness goes a long way in keeping your dog safe and well throughout the season.
Christmas returns and exchanges

Extended Christmas returns
