Dogrobes Size Guide – 3 Styles

All three styles – Original, Exclusive and MAX – use the same sizing.

Available in 10 sizes.

To dry, warm and comfort your dog - and stop that wet, muddy shake-off!

The Toy Wide Neck size is available in Original and MAX only.

Choosing The Right Size

Dogrobes are generously sized but are true to the measurements shown in the Size Guide below.

For the most accurate fit, measure your dog or use the breed chart below as a guide.

What To Measure

Diagram showing measurements needed for a Dogrobe - girth and collar to tail
  1. Girth – around the deepest part of your dog's chest
  2. Back Length – from collar to base of tail

Measurements Explained

Diagram showing measurements required for Dogrobes dog drying coats - girth and length

  • The girth is the key measurement for sizing
  • The back length is your double-check to confirm you've chosen the right size
  • The Dogrobe's girth and length are the same, so your dog's back measurement should usually be a few inches shorter than the girth – that's ideal
  • The extra fabric length allows the Dogrobe to drape over the hindquarters to dry the back legs

Sizing up

  • If your dog’s girth matches or is smaller than its length, choose the next size up to ensure that extra drape down the back legs
  • A little overlap of fabric under the belly is perfect for Original and Exclusive Dogrobes - that's the area that needs drying the most
  • The MAX Dogrobe's shaped chest panel means it fits neatly without overlapping when sizing up

Made To Measure Dogrobes

Most breeds fit comfortably into our standard Dogrobe sizes. It's only very occasionally that a dog needs a Made To Measure Dogrobe.

This option is ideal for teacup breeds or dogs whose girth and length differ significantly.

Made To Measures are available in the Original Dogrobe only.

See our Made To Measure page for details on measuring, pricing and turnaround times.

Snoods Size Guide

Available in 9 sizes.

To dry your dog's head, neck and ears and warmth and muffle loud noises for sound-sensitive dogs.

Choosing The Right Size

There are 2 ways to wear a Snood:

  1. Hood fit (up over the head/ears)

Size down a size for head and ear drying (ideal for Spaniels and Poodles) or noise-muffling (for dogs sensitive to loud noises)

  2. Neck buff fit (around the neck)

Choose the same size as your Dogrobe for effective neck drying (perfect for fluffy coats like Border Collies, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds)

If your dog sized up in their Dogrobe due to a larger girth, choose the breed example Snood size rather than matching their Dogrobe size.

Dogs wearing MINI and TOY Dogrobes will usually wear the same size Snood regardless of whether it's being worn as a hood or a buff.

For all other size (XS to XXXL), most dogs wear the same size Snood as their Dogrobe unless they prefer to wear it as a hood - in that case size down one size.

What To Measure

If your dog will wear their Snood as a hood, you can double-check the fit by measuring the widest part of the head to ensure a close fit. Include the ears so the Snood slips on comfortably.

Use the top circumference measurement to check that the Snood will sit snuggly on the head for a hood fit - or size down from your dog's usual Dogrobe size (except MINI or TOY sizes, which stay the same).

  • For a hood fit the Snood should gently hug the head and ears
  • For a neck buff fit, match your Dogrobe size so it folds loosely around the neck
